Trimbakeshwar is the origin of the Godavari basin, where forests, farms, and water systems sustain thousands of households and communities downstream
Here, erratic rainfall, degraded land, and declining water retention threaten both ecological balance and farmer livelihoods
Marginal farmers, women, and Gram Panchayat communities become drivers of agricultural resilience, reinforced by government schemes targeting rural livelihoods and land regeneration
THE TRIMBAKESHWAR RESILIENCE IMPERATIVE
CIRCLE RESILIENCE SECURES THE FUTURE FOR ITS COMMUNITIES AND BUSINESSES BY IMPROVING ITS NATURAL RESOURCES WHILE ASSURING THE LIVELIHOODS ASSOCIATED WITH THEM
The initial focus is water and agri ecosystem related natural resources and livelihoods
WATER: ADDING WATER RUS REQUIRES ADDING TO SUPPLY VIA CAPTURE AND RECHARGE, REDUCING DEMAND THROUGH EFFICIENT WATER USE, AND INCREASING RE/UP CYCLING VIA TREATMENT
Livelihoods: Adding livelihood RUs requires strengthening collectivization of key communities livelihood capacities. We have prioritized farmer collectives, women SHG and GP communities
CIRCLE RESILIENCE PROJECT 1 (CRP1) GOALS AND STATUS
CIRCLE RESILIENCE PROJECT 1 (CRP1), IS A COLLECTIVE ACTION PROJECT TARGETING SCALED RESILIENCE OUTCOMES BY DEC 2030, BUILDING UPON CURRENT RESILIENT MOMENTUM IN EACH CIRCLE
Based on current momentum, Trimbakeshwar CRP1 targets 11,000+ Circle Resilience Units (CRUs)
CURRENTLY SYSTEM WATER AND ASSOCIATED LIVELIHOODS ARE PREDOMINANT
CRP1 targeted Corporations with operations in the circle
CIRCLE BASED GO-TO-MARKET SOLUTION PLAN
TO DELIVER CRP1, THE TRIMBAKESHWAR CIRCLE HAS A STRUCTURED CIRCLE RESILIENT SOLUTIONS (CRS) GO-TO-MARKET PLAN
Rejuvenation of Water Bodies (RWB)
LANDMARK WATER BODIES (LWB)
Micro Food Forests (MFF)
SOLUTIONS ARE DESIGNED TO CAPITALISE ON GOVERNMENT SCHEMES
An integrated Circles tech platform brings partners, solutions, and outcomes together, enabling coordinated implementation, monitoring, and scaling of resilience interventions
RAAH FOUNDATION’S JOURNEY
Raah Foundation’s mission is to restore land, life, and livelihoods in the Western Ghats by empowering women and farmer communities to lead ecological restoration and climate-resilient development from within their own landscapes
Raah has already demonstrated the MFF model at scale in the adjacent Vaitarna Circle (Palghar), enabling adoption across 3,000+ acres, poised to generate ₹30 crore in additional net income for nearly 3,000 farmers
Building on this foundation, Raah has also enabled the launch of RWB within the Circle, creating a ready pathway for donors to invest and deliver water resilience commitments at scale
Raah also continues to advance other programs focused on water security and ecological resilience across other geographies in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra
