Heralding one of the crucial origins of the Kaveri River, the Shimsha-Tumkur (C) Circle is 7,000 sq.km.and represents a rural population of 2 M and an urban population of X M. RWB is strongly engaged in the circle – LWB is established – and several 3rd solution options are emerging
RWB (Rejuvenation of Water-BODIES)
RWB is the foundation solution in this Circle being adopted since 2023. Both delivery momentum and longer term commitments has picked up for this proven solution
LWS (LAndmark WATERBODY SYSTEM)
The LWS journey has been established with more than 50% of RWB being matured into LWS. Each LWS has delivered more than 150 CRUs (valued at $150K) across water, carbon and livelihoods resilience improvements. Each LWS has Resilience Committees co-led by women in place to sustain and extend the outcomes
3rd Solution
Via the Resilience Committees setup during LWS, community engagement is underway to select impactful 3rd solutions. Specific opportunities that have emerged include the Community Drinking Water and Farm to Market Connect Solutions
